Awesome first-time skydiving experience! The staff were extremely friendly, relaxed, and reassuring. The "jumpmasters" all seemed to have a lot of experience (mine had ~800 jumps, another had over 5000). It's completely awesome and much less nerve-wracking than you would think. Not scary. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Robin Z. / Yelp.com This was my first jump and I am addicted! My Tandem Master was Dave and my Cameraman was Sporto. Both have made this one of the most memorable experiences ever. Never once was I scared - they keep you pumped up and the adreneline just rushes thru your body. If you are thinking of skydiving or are teetering on the idea - I advise you to just do it! It is an experience that can only be described by participation. The view, the rush, and then the peaceful tranquility is absolutely incredible. Thanks Dave and Sporto, my friends Rob and Scott for jumping with me, and Skydive Tecumseh, for a "safety-first" run business. I'll never forget this - just awesome!!!!!!! This place is awesome! Their staff is super-friendly, they've got a big, comfortable plane, (a couple planes, actually), nice facilities, the works! I got a sweet DVD video of my tandem jump that I've showed all my friends. If you're going skydiving, this is the place to do it! And you should definitely do it - there's nothing in the world like the feeling of flying, and the view from up there is incredible. My IAD instructors and coaches have been extremely supportive every step of the way, making my first jumps (which were hardly perfect) the beginning of a great learning experience. Wonderful instruction, safe, fun, and friendly. After a lot of hard work the great crew at Skydive Tecumseh was able to help me get my A-license. I've never had so much fun in my life. I cannot emphasize enough how great the staff is at this dropzone! I started off here a bit unsure of myself and I had nothing but solid support and excellent instructors (Ryan, Karl, Brian) along the way. Had it not been for the positive vibe at Tecumseh I would not be where I am today! Tecumseh has a big wide open landing area that has been segregated for HP landings and standard pattern landings, and the student area is free of obstacles, you couldn't ask for a better area to land in. Facilities are great, showers, camping room, indoor packing, etc. And the bonfires at the end of the day are the best! My tandem instructor was very nice and fun. He kept me more excited than nervous and answered all my questions with useful explanations. My video jumper was also very nice and kept me excited. They were both fun to be around and made my jump even more amazing. I was also impressed with the skills and safety of our pilot. I felt very comfortable in our aircraft. The atmosphere at Skydive Tecumseh was also very enjoyable. I was welcomed and taken care of quickly. I came to dive alone, bringing no family or friends for support, but I didn't feel like I was alone at Tecumseh; everyone was kind. They told me stories of their jumps and I felt like I'd known these people for a long time. I would most definitely come back to Tecumseh for another dive. - A. Everyone is welcomed and always leaves with smiles and great stories to tell. This year has been a great one so far with the new owner Franz coming in and cleaning up the place and adding a new clean look. Most of the DZ is under construction and is looking better than it has in a long time. There is plenty of packing, camping, landing & chill space.
