You might be thinking about your first skydive or your hundredth.. either way, Skydive Tecumseh is the place to be! If you're wondering how you can become a licensed skydiver, let us tell you how! If this will be your first jump, you’ll be able to choose from three different methods to do it. Each method is sanctioned and approved by the USPA to assure the highest level of personal We highly recommend a Tandem Skydive as your first jump. With your first taste of the air - the unique euphoria that only freefall can bring - you'll know immediately if this is a sport meant for you! Once you've decided that skydiving is for you, your next step is to enroll in our next First Jump Course for whichever training method you choose. After your First Jump Course, you'll only need to follow the training progression you've choosen - AFF or IAD. Both methods are certified by the USPA and both methods will bring you to the point where you'll be a self-supervised solo jumper. As soon as you've finished your AFF or IAD progression, and have been cleared for self-supervision by your Instructor, you'll be able to take solo jumps. Also at this point you can begin jumping with our many USPA rated coaches. Coaching jumps will help you fill the gap between your AFF/IAD training and the 25 jumps you'll need to fulfill the USPA license requirements. And... that's it! Once you've reached 25 jumps you'll have a final "check-out" dive with your Instructor, to confirm all the skills you learned with your coaches, and after passing that you'll be an officially licensed skydiver! Of course, this is really just the beginning! Where will skydiving take you? When you're ready for your next license, B, C, or D, Skydive Tecumseh will be right here with you, helping you to attain the next level!
